Spring is upon us, and everything feels alive again.
Quiet Lily seems to be coming to life along with it. I’ve been enjoying the slow, hands-on process of blending and testing each product, watching things naturally unfold. It’s been both exciting and grounding. Quiet Lily has begun with a small, limited range of products made in thoughtful monthly batches.
Quiet Lily grew from my own way of caring for my health, skin, and soul while honouring the planet we all share. Each product is handmade from high-quality, ethical, and natural ingredients -pure, gentle, and free from toxins and pollutants. My hope is that every jar reminds you that self-care doesn’t need to be complicated. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the formulation to the packaging, with containers that can be reused or recycled.
A lot of what I do now comes from my “Inner Knowing” which to me sounds a little weird and maybe a little strange, I think everyone has their own version of that quiet knowing inside us. Over time, I have learned to listen to what my body is trying to tell me, and the actions I take will work for me rather than against me, I share these moments on social media, follow and join the quiet lily community @my.quietlily.
Small gentle choices and actions done consistently over time are the daily habits that have really made a difference in my life. For example, drinking fresh seasonal lemon juice in filtered water, preferably first thing in the morning and via a straw, as you may know the acid in citrus fruits can wear away at the tooth enamel and rinsing your mouth after is always a good idea. If/when lemons are out of season, then herbal cleansing teas can be just as beneficial, planting your own herbs like the almost impossible to kill mint or oregano could be the simplest self-care act you can do. This can be one small thing that adds up to feeling better. “The morning coffee helps too.”
My kidney specialist has cared for me for over 20 years, and recently said, “I don’t know what you are doing, but keep doing it.” This coming from him was a shock, luckily I was sitting down because I would of fallen off my chair, as he particularly is not one to give positive feedback i.e. rather, he will say what’s going wrong. Hearing this reaffirmed to me that sometimes the greatest results can come from listening to one’s own body and making small quiet gradual changes that feel right for you, and I say small, quiet, gradual changes due to doing what I felt was right for me like the morning lemon water.
